Cropduster are a premier rock covers and originals band from Christchurch New Zealand.

Formed from the still glowing embers of the bands Dirtyfrank, Psyatic, and with the battle-hardened ex drummer for Hefner and Crank, the boys from the 'Duster got together in an effort to reintroduce the balls-to-the-floor approach of cranking out powerful, energetic, no-nonsense rock. Since then the band has firmly established its way into the scene via a punishing gig schedule encompassing almost every South Island venue from the smallest pubs, residencies at Christchurchs most popular venues, to major festivals, huge stages, and even the odd stadium.. In doing so, Cropduster has become undoubtedly one of the premier acts in its area.

Classic blues rock influences such as The Stones and Zeppelin mixed with recent harder hitting legends such as Pearl Jam, The Foos, Nirvana, Sublime, along with Kiwi pub masters such as Th' Dudes, Dragon and The Exponents, matched with more contemporary dittys by The Killers, Kings of Leon and the like ensure the Cropduster experience always has something for everyone…

Cropduster live shows are full of energy which is always reflected back by the punters, the best judges of all:

"With everyone having had a decent skin-full, Cropduster rolled on stage and absolutely brought the house down.  Practised at Mickey Finns, this local covers band knew exactly where it was at to get even the most rhythmically retarded of us out there up and pumping.  A bit of Rage, G n R, Sublime, these guys had it all and did it well, packing out the dance-exclusive circus ring."

(ENSOC website ball report, Westpac Arena 2007)

"it was an amazing night with the dance floor jam packed thanks to Cropduster."

(LAWSOC ball report, Obiter, Issue 3, 2009)

The band plays balls, festivals, pubs, functions, parties, corporate events etc. An active show, unsurpassed experience and references, varied setlist, professional approach and good equipment to cover most sized venues help set the band apart from the rest.
